Spirit of Life for the Homeless, helping people in need, feeding the homeless

Your Spirit Of Life for the Homeless is a not for profit organization that was started in April associated with 2008 by Ministers Wendell and Diana Kendricks on the Westside of the City of Detroit in the East Garfield Group. In 2008, your founders developed a vision to integrate our Spiritual Services with Social Companies. The Interpersonal Service component offers for the practical every day needs from the homeless by providing them with job coaching and career , treatment method referrals and Long - term property. Because founders of the Spirit of Life for the Homeless , they have been providing food and clothing for the Homeless , under the auspices of your Apostolic Church of God in Chicago , for your past sixteen years. Since that occasion, they've fed and clothed countless desolate guys, girls and youngsters, as well as have provided Spiritual Solutions, haircuts, clothing, morning meal, lunch time and dinner for the displaced. Every Christmas they provide hope and joy to lots of children and their family members. We give out toys and clothing to over three hundred children at our Christmas applications. Events are held eight times a year at the Altgeld Park Field House and two times a year at the Union Park Field House in the Eastern Garfield Park location. At our occasions, each person is served with dignity by our volunteers. We have a dedicated staff of over 150 volunteers who are committed to offering the needs of the homeless. Our food is well prepared and cooked. Each person will be served food on tables that are decorated with table linen. Men are given hairstyles, and the clothing that we give away is clean, properly pressed and cool. We believe in the pride of each and every personal.

The actual organization has close ties with the businesses within the group. Many of the homeless who attend our events come from Transitional Housing and Emergency Animal shelters that are located within the local community. Shelters such as the Pacific Yard Vision, the Franciscan House Emergency Housing, the actual Safe Haven House and the Women’s Treatment Center are agencies whose residents we provide.

helping people in need

More than the years, we've helped many people change their life. Like Frenchie McGruder who is a member of our business. Before he became a member of this company, he or she ended up being homeless, existing in a shelter and also without a job. As a consequence of Religious support from our trained volunteers, job and housing recommendations , this individual has his own apartment, the job, and also he recently got betrothed. We believe in helping people aid them selves. As you and I could agree, any self * adequate individual is one who strengthens their community by adding tax revenues which help businesses in the community to blossom. Self : sufficiency also adds to the self : worthy of and pride of the individual
